Zineb Laouedj
Feuchtwanger FellowZineb Laouedj is a leading figure in Algeria’s cultural landscape. She serves as the executive director of Espace-Libre publishing house, the magazine Cahiers de Femme, and the Empreintes book series, which explores contemporary issues in Algeria. In addition, she is president of the Association Mémoires, the Commission du livre, and chairs the Culture and Book Commission of the Conseil Consultatif.
As an author, Laouedj has published numerous works, including Who Among Us Does Not Dream of the Sun?, Free Childhood, and Algerian Women and Violence: An Analytical Study of Media Coverage in Algeria and the Debate on Islamists. Her writing is distinguished by its focus on social transformation, women’s rights, and the role of the media in Algerian society.
