Stefanie de Velasco

Stefanie de Velasco was born in Oberhausen, Germany. The child of Spanish immigrants, she grew up in the Rhine Valley. She studied European ethnology and political sciences in Bonn, Berlin and Warsaw. Her debut novel "Tigermilch" (Tigermilk) was widely praised and was nominated for the 2015 Independent Foreign Fiction Awards.
