Florian Flicker

I am a writer and director, born in 1965 in Salzburg and now based in Vienna.

My first feature film, the science fiction drama Halbe Welt, was released in 1993, followed by the road movie Suzie Washington (1998), the tragicomedy Der Überfall (2000), the Western documentary No Name City (2006), and the romantic drama Grenzgänger (2012). I also co-directed the Attwengerfilm (1997). In 2008, I staged Juli and Die Strudlhofstiege, Folge 8 at the Vienna Schauspielhaus. Until 2009, I taught at the Vienna Film Academy, éQuinoxe Screenwriters Workshop, Filmcollege, Medienzentrum Wien, Danube University, Youki, and FilmABC, among others.
