Aisha Franz is a freelance comic artist and illustrator based in Berlin. She studied Visual Communication with a focus on illustration and comics at the Kunsthochschule Kassel, where she later also taught as a lecturer. Her work oscillates between narrative drawing, experimental comics, and visual observations of everyday life. In addition to her artistic practice, she regularly teaches and mentors at universities in Germany and abroad, including Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, and Sint Lucas Antwerpen. Together with the Berlin-based print studio Colorama, she runs “Clubhouse,” an international residency and publishing project that supports experimental comic artists.

Aisha Franz's project is a graphic novel about the tension between the biological clock and artistic self-realization as well as the urge for self-optimization.
