Exhibition "Murmuration"

The exhibition MURMURATION brings together artistic positions from Berlin, Los Angeles and Mexico-City. Its title refers to the phenomenon of coordinated flocking in birds - a dynamic, constantly shifting formation that moves forward collectively without relinquishing the freedom of movement of its individual members.

Applied to art, MURMURATION describes a coming together of artists: they combine their diverse approaches, energies, and perspectives to leave visible traces together - like a dancing formation in the sky. At the same time, each artist asserts their own artistic position.

The exhibition includes works by Detlef Baltrock, Gunnhildur Hauksdottir, Sua Kim, Anita Kucharczyk, Frank Maier, Shane Mecklenburger, Marco Rountree, Alma Saladin, Ernesto Solana, Anke Völk, Daniel Wiesenfeld, Clemens Wilhelm.

B-LA-M is an international collaborative platform connecting artists and curators from Berlin, Los Angeles, and Mexico City, with the aim of developing joint exhibitions and projects that strengthen the ties between independent art scenes.

The project is conceived as a transnational exchange based on solidarity, mutual support, and the formation of new networks. It demonstrates how individual artistic practices can resonate within a shared framework without being subordinated - and how this collaboration can give rise to something new, something greater than the sum of its parts.
