On the day before the Oscar® ceremony, Villa Aurora traditionally hosts a reception where representatives from the film industry in Germany and the United States come together to honor the German nominees. The event is organized in cooperation with German Films, the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Los Angeles, and additional partners.
This reception provides a platform for cultural and creative exchange and regularly attracts hundreds of guests from the worlds of film, art, academia, and politics. In addition to the nominees, attendees include representatives of funding institutions and prominent figures from the international film industry. The event highlights the significance of German filmmaking and its contribution to international film culture.
