Zineb Laouedj is Executive Director of the publishing house Espace Libre, the journal Cahiers de Femme, the collection Empreintes (a series that examines contemporary Algeria) and President of the Association Mémoires, the Commission du livre and the cultural and book commission Conseil Consultatif.

Her published works include Wer von uns träumt nicht von der Sonne?, Freie Kindheit, Algerische Frauen und Gewalt: Analytische Untersuchung zur Berichterstattung in Algerien und zur Diskussion um die Islamisten.
