RP Kahl is trained as an actor at "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Art Berlin, department Rostock. He works as an actor for cinema, TV and theater since 1990. He starts working also as a filmmaker in 1995. As producer, director and writer his output consists of films like Silvester Countdown, Angel Express, 99euro-films, Europe - 99euro-films 2, Sunday Girls and Bedways (Premiere at Berlin International Film Festival in 2010). Since the late 90s his work also includes music videos, theatre productions, perfomances and video art. From 2001 he teaches art and film at universities and art academies. He is a member of the selection commissions of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale Shorts) and the Oldenburg Film Festival as well as the German Film Academy
